Prosi dziewczynę, by nie mówiła o tym innym, ponieważ nie podoba im się takie zachowanie. Bohaterka zgadza się na to. Dowiaduje się też, że Beliath odmawia jedzenia od czasu wydarzeń z klubu. Potwierdzają to później inne wampiry. Eloise decyduje się w końcu pójść z nim porozmawiać. Wampir jest w okropnym stanie tak jak jego pokój. Jest wobec bohaterki agresywny i przez chwilę się z nią sprzecza, ale później tłumaczy swoje zachowanie. Obaj wyjawiają swoje uczucia względem drugiej osoby, po czym razem spędzają upojną noc. Gdy się budzą, w pokoju pojawia się tajemnicza postać.

Tak pragnęłam tego czucia się dobrze, że gdy Beliath niemal rozerwał moją sukienkę, ściągając ją ze mnie, pokój wypełnił mój wybuch śmiechu. Jego namiętność rozpalała mnie, ponieważ wiedziałam, że mimo że jego głód wzmagał jego pożądanie... to główne źródło tego było o wiele głębsze niż jego pragnienie krwi.
